Steep cliffs, gorges, large stuff, white horses
Whitehorse really is about the white horses.... see here!!!!
Visited the art store with many beautiful things, primarily to buy a card with Sam MacGee's cabin on it. I found some WHITE HORSES there also. Makes me think of the white horses that Arwen called up to drown the dark riders who were after Frodo.
We headed to fish lake in search of grizzlies, but only made it as far as the signposts, becoming, instead, totally distracted by McIntyre Marsh. Everything is done in gorges around here, including the marsh. Had the feel of the woods and marshes I used to play in when I was a kid. We just hung around listening to the birds and relaxing. I really didn't realize how far high we were until we started back down. This road is very close to the edge.
Yes it it!
We were nearly back to the highway when this huge hawk soared in front of the van and over to the other side of the gorge. My zoom is not that great, but I took a few shots anyway, and we were able to identify it as a red-tail.
Went to see Robin Hood tonight at Qwanlin Theatre. Pretty violent stuff. You GUYS will love it. I did not realize that this was Robin Hood, the early years.
