LOL -- So, I'm pretty sure everyone from my soon to be Ex workplace doesn't believe I'm really going because I've spoken of it so often in the past year or so. But I certainly am, indeed, heading to Whitehorse to visit with my dear friend, Debbie and her family.
It's Tuesday, May 4, 2010, 7:44 a.m. and I've created this blog because Kevin said I should. He thinks a bear is going to eat me. In a week's time I will be heading to the airport to fly out early on Wednesday, May 12. I haven't flown in 30 years!
My sisters says it's like taking the bus. Ooooo....kay.......
And I have to get a new camera before I go, and I haven't even THOUGHT about packing yet, thought my friend Barb, who is traveling as far as Edmonton on the same flight with me, and again on the way back on the 28th (from Calgary, where she is visiting her son while I am in Whitehorse) is half packed already, which reminds me I should check into the seating.
Anyway, this is what this blog is all about... I'm taking my trusty little lappie, and planning to post much interesting and entertaining info on this desperate and somewhat needy escape from my present routine in rural Pictou County, Nova Scotia.

I, the aforementioned, 'dear friend Debbie', am posting this comment to verify that indeed... Robin Bourque, of the WHITEHORSE HERE I COME Blog... has her tickets booked... nonrefundable... and will be staggering to the arrival gate... eyes blinking against the Yukon sun... on May 12, 2010!
ReplyDeleteIt is more official now that I've written it down for all to see. Robin will be in my kitchen for vino, tea & other 'refreshments' in a mere 8 DAYS!!!!!!!!
Back home in Nobie Scobie, my father & I had an ongoing competition every spring... who would see the first true sign of spring... a robin on the lawn.
